BBAW Interview Swap Meet

Happy Book Blogger Appreciation Week (BBAW) everyone! To celebrate Book Blogger Appreciation Week in style, I snagged an interview with the incredible Tony, the mastermind behind the beloved book blog, Tony’s Reading List. Tony’s known for his insightful reviews and genuine passion for literature, and I knew this conversation would be a delight. So, grab a cup of tea (or your favorite bookish beverage!), and let’s dive into the world of Tony’s Reading List!

Getting to Know the Bookworm Behind the Blog

Q1: Can you tell us a little about yourself and Tony’s Reading List?

A: Just a regular guy who can’t resist a good story,” Tony laughed. “Tony’s Reading List started as a way to share my thoughts on books and connect with fellow bookworms. It’s blossomed into this awesome space for reviews, author Q&As, and bookish discussions – it’s been amazing to see it grow!”

The Genesis of a Bookish Haven

Q2: What sparked your love for book blogging?

A: “Honestly,” he confided, “reading has always been a huge part of my life. I craved a space to share my reading journey and connect with people who understand that bookish feeling. Blogging seemed like the perfect fit, and let me tell you, it’s been incredibly rewarding!”

A Journey Through Genres

Q3: What are some of your favorite genres and authors?

A: Tony’s eyes sparkled. “I love to explore different worlds!” he exclaimed. “Lately, I’ve been obsessed with literary fiction, getting lost in historical adventures, and even dipping my toes into fantasy. As for authors? Haruki Murakami, Gabriel García Márquez, and Ursula K. Le Guin – their work is truly mind-blowing!”

A Touch of Reader Magic

We all have those special moments in our blogging journeys that stay with us. Tony reminisced about a particularly heartwarming experience.

Q4: Do you have a memorable moment from your blogging experience?

A: “There was this email,” he began, a genuine smile gracing his face, “from a reader who said my review convinced them to pick up a book they wouldn’t have considered otherwise. Knowing that I can play a role in someone’s reading choices – that’s what makes this whole thing worthwhile.”
